I am a business accelerator, professional writer and speaker.  In each domain I seek to “unleash the human spirit” by inspiring the soul to its highest calling and magnificence — that of love and infinite possibility.

My Biz Side

I have a strong entrepreneurial spirit within me and an ability to identify coming trends.  That led me to start 4 businesses at the cusp of their birth.

• I started a computer company at the dawn of the computer age in the late 1980s when I was just out of college.  It amazes me that I actually used to manufacture computers.  We were stunned by the 20 Meg hard drives we were installing.  Back then we used to think, “How could anyone use that much space?”  Now, not only is 20 Meg laughable, but the extent of my computer knowledge barely reaches beyond turning the machine on and off.
• I started a research and intelligence business in the mid 1990’s, at the dawn of the information age, prior to Google and a robust internet, which now makes finding information easier than breathing.  Back then, we sourced databases and numerous references to build company and executive profiles to help small businesses successfully target their marketing and increase their sales.
• I started a 3D technology company at the turn of the millennium, the dawn of the 3D age, before 3D became ubiquitous in movies, games and simulations.  We built the first interactive 3D models of towns and other large projects in New Jersey to enhance the planning and approval process in the state.
• And in 1998, at the dawn of the coaching age, I started coaching.  This was my calling and my home, and I have been doing it ever since.  Not surprisingly, I work with entrepreneurs, business owners and executives helping them to grow their business, overcome challenges and hurdles and achieve levels of success they previously thought impossible.  (See my “business acceleration” page for more on this).

My Personal Side

One of the best lunch spots in America!

I grew up exploring the woods near my home on a daily basis and have been a passionate hiker for the past 25 years.  I credit my connection to, and observations of, Nature for my grounding, wisdom and insights.  I am most at home and at peace when I am surrounded by the magnificence and glory Nature provides us.  I am continually in awe of it and find my heart smiling at the wonder it presents to me everyday.

I have climbed the tallest mountain in the continental U.S. (Mt. Whitney in California. See pic at bottom), and the tallest mountains in 12 other states.  I always appreciate the perspective the MountainSpirits provide me.  I have also enjoyed the beauty of the lowest point in the U.S. (Death Valley, CA), which ironically is short drive from Mt. Whitney.

One of my fondest memories is a 1990 bicycle trek across the country, “Coast to Coast for the Kids.”  I cycled over 3,000 miles with a friend, without a support vehicle.   We raised money for The Four Diamonds Fund, an organization associated with the Hershey Medical Center and Penn State.  The Four Diamonds Fund helps kids with cancer.  This is a great country, but to discover it, to truly understand the American Spirit, you can’t fly over it in a plane or zip past it in a car.  You have to slow down your pace and take the time to meet Americans on Main Street.   That is where the heart and soul of America, and all it stands for, still lives.

My In-Side

I spent many, many months reflecting on who I am and what my mission is this go around in life.  I beleive the statement below beautifully captures my thoughts and intention for living.  In sharing this, I am inviting you in to see who I am at my core.  For me, there is no greater level of transparency or authenticity, and I invite you to challenge yourself to engage with me at this same level, for when you exist here, you find simplicity and peace in life.

To always think and act from love and my heart.
To always inspire others to see and achieve their internal greatness.
To act with the highest degree of integrity and self-truth.
To always be close to the balance and grounding of nature,
respecting and caring for the rhythms of the earth.
To always be present (to the magic and magnificence that occurs around me at every moment)
To always bring a child-like wonder to all I do, generating excitement and sincerity.
To create and bring laughter, humor, and happiness to the world.

To do all of this as a healing channel for the world; not from the outside, but rather the inside,
for when each person can celebrate themselves, for who they are and what they have to offer the universe –
then they will be able to celebrate and honor all people and the natural environment of which they are a part.
